The Savona Neighborhood in Cape Coral is based on the road Savona Parkway that runs East to West and includes the section of that road to the East of Del Prado Blvd and then over to the Caloosahatchee River. This neighborhood is located in Unit 11 and is one of the 6, well established neighborhoods that make up the desirable “Gold Coast” section of Cape Coral. Savona is typically well maintained and offers exceptional waterfront real estate with many larger canals including 5 canals at 200 feet wide creating incredible nautical views and premium priced real estate homes. Since Savona is all “Direct Access”, it is a great choice for those who have sailboats and want wider canals with no overhead bridges, but do not want to spend the extra money to be in the locations South of Cape Coral Pkwy. Being an earlier established community, Savona certainly offers a mix of real estate including homes from as far back as 1968 to modern, Mediterranean estate, new construction mansions. This is certainly part of a group of neighborhoods known in Cape Coral for their tear downs. This is due to the land value and a buyers willingness to demolish an older home to make space for a newer, much larger home that maximizes the property boundaries and takes advantage of the very sought after water access of the canals here. While it may seam odd to some that this is a common practice, there are certain advantages to this process over building new on an empty lot. Like the Palaco Grande above it and Orchid below neighborhoods, Savona is very conveniently located to shops and restaurants both downtown and along Del Prado Blvd. It also provides very fast access to Fort Myers via the Cape Coral Bridge just a mile away.
